H&R ChemPharm (UK) operates from a 10,000m² site located in the heart of the United Kingdom which has a long history in the manufacture of oils and lubricants.

The site has seen extensive development and investment in recent years allowing us to compete globally with a state-of-the-art custom built manufacturing facility.

This in turn produces refinery based specialties developed by H&R product specialists, in partnership with customers to meet the exacting requirements of today’s market and application needs.

Our core operational area is in cable filling compounds in which the business is the only manufacturer in the industry offering both water blocking technology for communication cables and dielectric compounds for energy cables.

H&R has long been known for their expertise in the development of wax and wax emulsions.

This expertise has allowed us to build strong links with the construction board and insulation sectors into which we supply specialist oil and wax emulsions.

Specialist paraffin waxes are also supplied from the site which can be found in a wide range of end use applications ranging from food packing to candles – equestrian surfaces to adhesives.

With the reassurance of a secure supply route and consistent product quality through the H&R refineries in Germany an innovative range of raw materials and semi-finished products developed to meet the specific requirements of the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Sector are available.

A number of these products meet pharmacopoeia standards and the product offering includes petroleum jellies, white oil and bases for creams and lotions.

Through the link to the H&R refineries we can also offer Process and Base Oils for plasticising, processing and formulation applications in a number of industries.

To further complement our product portfolio we offer customers a single source solution through our toll blending/contract manufacturing facilities.

This facility covers our core areas of business, bringing customers a number of benefits, not least a cost effective way of producing products in a variety of batch sizes and packaging.
