H&R recently developed and successfully launched new wax emulsion technology for the wood panel market. The ground-breaking new product, Vivashield ASA 750, was designed for optimum use in Particleboard and MDF manufacturing plants. Ongoing sales have commenced this year to a particleboard customer in Australia, adding to established sales in the Asian market. The new technology utilizes selected high quality waxes instead of traditional crude slack wax and allows board producers to achieve stringent board specifications at lower wax loadings. Sales of the new emulsion last year made up 20% of the region’s wax emulsion sales. We expect further growth in this market with many other customers conducting trials.
