H&R South Africa recently hosted all its suppliers in freight logisitics at a workshop that had as a theme Delivery Reliability. The key purpose for the workshop was to establish a collaborative approach to increase customer satisfaction through improvements in the effectiveness of the delivery to customers.
24 visitors participated in the day, comprising the Senior Management from various transport companies and the other service providers that direct impact the final customer delivery.
The day enabled participants to develop a better understanding of H&RÃ¢â?¬â?¢s current business, future plans and the issues and concerns of customers. In addition transporters were able to highlight issues and opportunities to improve performance to the customerÃ¢â?¬â?¢s ultimate benefit. Included in the day was a tour of the operation which allowed the participants to experience first hand the blending and truck handling and loading operations.
The day ended with a strong commitment from all the participants to work together to remove bottlenecks and constraints that create problems in improving customer satisfaction.
