A Network
Around the World

Our group has an international presence and we have access to a global network
of our own processing plants, distribution sites and partner refineries. The number of our customers we serve has also grown over many years and gives us a sense of security, particularly in times of change.

Our Group is at home on all con-tinents. Our roots lie in Europe. Our headquarters and both of
the main production sites are here in Germany.  We have local processing sites in North America, South America, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The same is true in South East Asia, where we have an especially large presence. The Asian markets are particularly vi-brant and have a special importance for us strategically, as many of our custom-ers are based there with relevant production sites.

Well-earned trust

Our relationships with our custom-ers have developed over the course of many years and are very stable. This is reflected in our long-term contractual business relationships, which we main-tain through our sales network. Many of our customers have been with us for decades. The Hansen & Rosenthal Group, with a history spanning more than 100 years, is closely linked with H&R and represents the values of a family busi-ness. These values are very helpful for establishing and maintaining long-term relationships. Customer engagement, adherence to delivery dates, continuity and quality awareness are basic prom-ises that do not need to be negotiated with us.
Many of our international sites came to us through the integration of H&R Ölwerke Schindler in 2001. With these sites, we were able to expand our net-work with sales and processing units that were strategically well-positioned. We are now physically close to our cus-tomers all over the world and deliver consistent quality – regardless of whether they request our services in Europe or Asia. Some of our global processing sites are linked to partner refin-eries that are a particularly good fit for us in terms of the base products they produce. They have a level of vertical integration that enables us to further process the products according to the needs of our customers.

Association work and representation of interests

Standards and certifications are very important in the chemical industry. We not only intend to fulfill them, but also to be actively involved in their contin-ued development.  For this purpose, our management and specialist staff are currently involved in more than 65 national and international bodies, committees and interest groups. In these circles, we discuss experienc-es and trends, and take part in setting the framework for our day-to-day busi-ness. The subject areas that we cover are widely diversified and extend from areas such as materials, product safety and waste to the increasingly important fields of environment and energy, and the topics of compliance and account-ing law.
