White Oils
Turning crude oil, first, into base oil, and ultimately into cosmetics, is a long road. In between these two extremes lies a highly complex chemical process which H&R is continuously improving and enhancing. By applying special catalysts, high temperature and high pressure, we can use this multi-step hydrogenation process to extract a clear substance reminiscent of water: white oil. White oils are clear, like water, and their purity is described in the European Pharmacopoeia. And they are ever-present in our daily lives: for example, they are used to make cosmetics. White oil lends a smooth quality to creams and ointments. And - with us - lipstick receives the perfect sheen that can enchant anyone.
